Ok, here's my my two cents then.
While you've done a great job a creating focus with depth-of-field, the colours seem really washed out, especially for one of your pieces. I've gone ahead and experimented a bit with this, so tell me what you think. Take your image, flatten it (or just use this DA version), then go Image>Adjustments>Curves, put two points in the graph, one at Input 72-Output 58, and another at Input 158-Output 177. I think this breathes a lot of life into the image, but like I've said before, I can't really colour, so what do I know.
